Bachelor of Dental surgery curriculum is so arranged that it should produce a dental surgeon, capable of making an accurate oral and dental diagnosis, give local anesthetic, perform an operation on the teeth and jaws and take a good roentgenogram. Students are required to be proficient in dental laboratory techniques. they should be able to advise on preventive dentistry. They should also be able to deal with dento-legal work and should look after the dental health of the community.
