Praise be to Allah who taught man what he did not know and guided His servants through knowledge to the path of piety and obedience to Him. He Himself says in he Holy Quran: Only those of his servants who are endowed with knowledge truly fear Allah (35:28). and Allah’s peace and blessing be upon Prophet Muhammad who taught humanity all things good, and guided it to righteousness and piety.
For the Medical and Dental College, the initial impulse it came from my feeling that quite good number of the students who are desirous of Medical Education go to different countries. Most of the Medical institutions of those countries have been declared sub-standard by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council. I always wondered, how this national loss of foreign exchange and manpower drainage can be stopped.
Another deciding factor in the institution of the College that I realized that the future, success and social stability of a nation depend on its ability to develop and deploy all its human resources in a socially inspired manner in both the Public as well as Private Sector. It was due to those reasons that I started Gandhara Institute of Medical Sciences in 1995 with the mission to impart knowledge and develop professional skill in students to meet the challenges of the modern era.
Since then Gandhara Institute of medical Sciences is going ahead with its plans to become one of the leading Medical Institute, not only in Pakistan but internationally, with academic excellence and delivery of Medical services that focuses on the achievement of highest standard of performance. Gandhara Institute of Medical Sciences has the unique distinction of being recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council since its inception. Another feather to its cap was added in November. 1997 when the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council has given recognition to Naseer Teaching Hospital.
The institute has been a tremendous success of years for which I have no words to thank ALMIGHTY ALLAH for the many achievements we have registered during this period.
