The Wazir Muhammad Institutes of Paramedical Technologies, Peshawar offers an undergraduate course in paramedical technology, designed to equip students with knowledge, skills, attitudes and behavior necessary to understand and influence factors that effect the health of individuals and of communities. The curriculum conform to the requirements of Medical Faculty of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Institutes offers the following courses for one year duration in two semesters:

1. Laboratory Technology Course
2. Dental Technology Course

Both the above courses are taught basic medical sciences for the first semester (6 months) in the second semester (6 months) the classes for laboratory technician are taught at Wazir Muhammad Institutes of Paramedical Technologies and Naseer Teaching Hospital. The candidates of dental technology go Sardar Begum Dental College for their course. Since the University offers such vast courses and has many institutions under its wings, leaning in every of its institution is interactive and effective. The candidates are also tough English language to the students to improve their core knowledge of Medical terms.

NEW DISCIPLINES (DIPLOMA 2 YEAR DURATION)

We have introduced the following new disciplines Surgical Technology Anesthesia Technology Health Technology Radiology. In future, we also plan to introduce relevant certificate courses after fulfillment of the due requirements.

Admission: Minimum qualification required for admission in Diploma program is SSC (Science) at least 2nd Division (45%). However, F.Sc or equivalent qualification would be preferred Maximum age limit for admission in diploma program is 25 years.

INTERVIEW: All the applicants are interviewed to assess their suitability to complete the Diploma program and pursue a career in health sciences. At the time of interview, the following original documents must be provided.

1. Metric DMC, Certificate or equivalent qualification verified by IBCC.
2. Domicile and copy of CNIC.
3. Character certificate from educational institution last attended.

NOTE

On receiving the offer of admission, the students are expected to deposit the admission fee (non-refundable) and tuition fee within the prescribed due date. If the fee is not submitted within the specified date, the admission will stand cancelled

ASSESSMENT AND PROMOTION RULES

1. For diploma program Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Medical Faculty rules and regulations will be followed
2. Class tests will be held by the teachers form time to time to evaluate the progress of the students during the course.
3. Any candidate failing to obtain satisfactory marks in such tests may not be permitted to appear in the annual / final examination.
4. The Principal on merit will consider absence from routine tests on compassionate or medical reason.
