Established in Jan 2010, the youngest of all the Gandhara University Institutions was founded with the view to bring positive changes in the health sciences and to take upon the challenges faced by doctors. It was long felt, that not enough emphasis was given to public health sector and the need for a recognized institutions had been around in Peshawar.

The need for Master in Public Health was always felt and KIPH was planned for this degree. As a pioneer in private medical education and development and progress in its DNA, Gandhara University planned Kabir Institute of Public Health and today it is the first and only PMDC recognized institution offering MPH degree in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
